Happy St David's Day

Happy St David's Day
Yes, it's St David's Day today and what a glorious day it was for it too. The sun has been shining since I opened my eyes this morning and it's been really lovely all day. Just wish I had the chance to have gone out and taken in the first bit of lovely weather that we've had in months.

Anyhoooo, whilst the sun was shining, I managed to finish off my Wk 7 of the 52Q's, together with a card for someone who hasn't been feeling well lately. I wanted this card to be bright, fun and zesty and to add a bit of sunshine to this special person's life.

Materials used for the flower card:-

Whale of a Punch - Retro flower (EK Success) 2"
Vellum - Orange and lemon
Cardstock - Bumblebee trio and Bubblegum trio & Lily
Hero Arts - Italian Poetry Background stamp - S1832
Hero Arts - Correspondence stamps - LL087
Versa Cube - Opera Pink
Doodlebug buttons - Bubblegum
Marvy Matchables Dye ink pad - #7 orange

Again, I have used old(er) cardstock and stamps for my cards etc, and as for the inks, well, I've had them for nearly 5 years............and they're still inking, LOL! I have found that the more I look through my old stock, it's amazing what you can find, without having to buy new.............but we always do though, don't we, lol?

Thanks for popping by, I appreciate it. XX

Lovely card so bright and vibrant - love those flowers!
My daughter was going to be a criminal psycologist (sp) before photography took over! she's doing her A levels this summer too.... Good luck with yours and I'm sure you'll do really well. xx

A bit late in the day to say it, but: happy St David's Day. I love the bright orange and pink together - great crafting. I too wish you success in your studies and the future outcome. x

You certainly succeeded in making a zingy, fun card Beth - I love your layered vellum flowers, they look fab! Rather you than me wanting to work with the criminal mind, best of luck with the studies! (and my security word to type today is blessu - did somebody sneeze? lol!)
